My story making Anzac biscuits .

On Thursday morning room 7 made Anzac biscuits with Miss Paton and Mr Engineer.

We put the butter and the golden syrup into the pot.

Miss Paton, Tai and Nazanin took the pot to the hall kitchen.
Miss Paton turned on the oven while Nazanin mixed the butter and the golden syrup together. Then Miss Paton, Tai and Nazanin came back to class.

Joshua measured the flour. Liam measured half a cup of sugar. Avalon poured in the rolled oats. Najib poured in the coconut. Miss Paton poured in half a teaspoon of baking soda and she mixed it with two tablespoons of boiling water. Sanujan and Aung Naing poured in the butter and the golden syrup mixture. Sky, Hajera, Aiden and Jacob rolled the dough into little balls and flattened them down with a fork.   

Room 7 worked together as a team in the classroom. Miss Paton helped us to make the Anzac biscuits. After a little while I was so happy that I couldn’t open my eyes. When I first took a bite of the Anzac biscuits they were so delicious. I felt like I was having an Anzac party.

I loved making Anzac biscuits with my class.

I am pleased with how I blended the colours together

on my Art paper.

2. What did you find easy when you created your painting?

I Found blending the colours together was easy .

3. What did you find tricky when creating your silhouette painting?

I found hard gluing the soldier on my paper tricky.

4. Who helped you with your artwork?

Miss Paton.

5. What would you do differently next time?

I would like to see more yellow blended in with the orange.

My Zoo trip recount.

My time at the zoo

On Thursday we went to the zoo. We saw all the animals. We went to Pridelands first.

We saw the giraffes, ostriches and zebras . After that we went to see the lions. There were only two lions. One was under a tree, the other one was walking around on the grass. Next we went to see the  rhinos. The rhino had sharp horns and its rib cage was showing. After this we went to see Burma the elephant. She was moving the log. The log had food in it. We had morning tea beside

After we went to see Burma the elephant we saw the pink Flamingo's.  The flamingo's were standing on one leg. After that we went to see the seals. The seals were going around in circles. They made me feel dizzy.

Next we went to see the penguins. The penguins were under a boat. There were baby penguins. The boat was leaning against a house.

The little baby penguins were tiny as a little bug. The mother penguin was up high, like she was in a nest.

The babies were too shy to come out from under the boat.

I loved seeing the little penguins. After that we went to see the other animals at the zoo.

After that we went to see the old things in the shed. Inside the shed there were words telling us about the animals in the zoo.

After that we went to see the meerkats. The meerkats had sharp claws. They could dig and they could hide from people.

After that we found Laura. She was telling us about

the animals in the zoo. The first animals she told us about

were the orangutans. The orangutans were looking for food.  One of the orangutans was  sleeping on the log. I learnt that the Orangutans were apes. On our tour we went to see the spider monkeys.  I felt excited because the  spider monkeys were doing tricks for us.

After when we went to see the spider monkeys we went to see the Galapagos Tortoises. The Galapagos tortoises were in a house where tortoises live. After that Laura showed us some cages. Inside the cages were lizards. The lizards were as green as grass.   
After that we we sat down, we went to see Molique the tiger. Molique sat beside us and she was licking her paws. I felt happy when I went to the zoo.
