Kiwi Sport,Group A

Today In Kiwi Sport we played a game when you have 2 rippers in the middle and everybody else down the bottom of the field this game was a bit like Octopus.After that game we played rippa rugby  we played in teams 1,2 and 3.We had to focus on the ball and try to get a goal to win a point.We used our skills to communicate with each other.We also helped each other and coached each other on the field.It was very hot outside but we managed to play well.

Everyone had fun and we enjoyed rippa rugby today,Everybody in the game ran around trying to get the ball to there goal.We won and lost but we tried our best.Team Blue and Team Green played very well. Each round we played was Awesome.

1870 clothing law

For our topic we learnt about Charlotte Anne.Me,Nyjah,Chavda,Viva.We worked on jobs that Charlotte Anne should of joined.At first we watched a Video that told us a poem about Charlotte Anne.We read off from Websites to find out information about why Charlotte Anne picked a mens Job more than a women job. 

Raurimu Research

Today in Reading I answered the A.B.C and D questions on Key to Evaluations Document.After answering the questions to Tunnel vision I created a DLO that showed research about the Raurimu Transport.I wrote information and read statistics off from websites that told me all about how the Raurimu Track was built and when it was built.I found pictures of the Raurimu railway.
I put in the map of Raurimu and also a link to a website about the Raurimu mountain and how steep it was for the train to travel up hill.Now the train track goes in swirls around the mountain.

Samoan Language week-Samoan Culture white sunday

Vaiaso o le Ganga, This week is Samoan Language week Me Viva and Alice worked together to create a DLO on Traditional Samoan White Sundays.We wrote about What types of food they ate on a white Sunday and the different traditional clothing that they wear in Samoan.We also explained about the meanings of white Sunday and how it works.On White Sundays people wear white clothes to church the speak in the Samoan language while the National anthem is on. After that Samoan people celebrate Children services and eat food that is related to the Island Continent.Me Viva and Alice searched websites finding out the information of why Samoan families celebrate on Sundays.

Flight of a life time.

Flight of a lifetime

I stared at my brother as he gazed into the night, mother owl flew through the cold gusty breeze.
I glared at the city view which made me have a terrifying feeling,
about what it will be like too fly on the first flight.
I felt the temper of the incoming breeze trying too pull me into the night.
I felt nervous and scared.
I couldn't let my fear overcome myself but after a while
I encouraged myself too drift into the night sky.

I became even more brave when I took the first flight,
I knew that I had faith in myself. I was so frightened before but now I am able to fly on my own.
I searched the forests down below to look for dinner, until I came upon a river.
I was watching fish leaping out of the rough current
as my mouth started to drip with saliva and was making me hungry.
So I leapt and flew to the river to capture my prey until I caught a fish
and flew back to my mother and laid the fish on the branch.

When I finished dinner I felt like the cool breeze lifting my wings up,
so I got ready and took off into the sunset.
Mother owl and brother Owl followed me as we twirled into the colourful sky above.

This week Ms Anderson's writing group had a discussion about writing a narrative. After we finished the discussion Ms Anderson´s writing group talked about using powerful words and synonyms to make the story more hooking to the reader. Then we all went off to write our story. I wrote about myself being a owl and having my first flight. In my story I have written about how I over came that fear with my courage and hope. I hope you enjoy my story about flight of a life time. 

Tech at Tamaki collage/thank you card to Mr Grundy

Tech Today at tamaki collage was great,The 7ś finised off the week with completing there project and workbook.As year 7ś we made a card to thank Mr Grundy,for teaching us and helping us finish off the work.We took photos of our pewter castings and took selfies with each other to finish of the week.We also gathered up to finish 1 last photo of Mr Grundy and the year 7ś we have had a great time with Mr Grundy.

Skeletal Framework

Today In Inquiry Angela, Viva, Chavda, Hajera and I worked collaboratively to create a figure using Play dough and tooth pics. The first Figure we created was a flat person without bones we took pictures of our figure standing up and it falling into a blob. 

Our next figure was a person created with bones inside we took the picture of our figure then we took a picture of the bones inside. After taking all the photos we uploaded them to our drive then we went onto a website which  we made our Animated GIFs on. We chose the pictures that we wanted then our GIF was ready. 

Did you know a baby has 300 bones at birth and but by the time they are an adult they only have 206?

Read theory Grade Graph

Today for reading I tried hard on leveling up to grade 3 on read theory. I got 71% on grade 3 while answering the question on the text I was reading. I read the giants of the sea before getting my Grade leveled up. I answered all the questions and read through the text to find out what the Answer was.

Kiwi Can blog post

 In kiwi sport group,A went  out to play a game of captains ball  we had to be in 4 groups 1,2,3 and 4.In this game 1 person from each group has to be in between 4 cones in the middle the rest of the group has to get the ball to the person in the middle in order to win the game we had 5 rounds of this game.After our game we did GKQ´S for questioning we had to sit in a circle there had to be 2 people standing up and when Miss Lilly called out a question those 2 people had to answer it fast if the person in the circle does not get it they will be eliminated.

How to survive a cow attack

For reading I made DLO on how to survive a cow attack.I read a website that told me all the tips if a cow tries to attack you.I put in some information and tips on how to survive when a cow attacks,I also added in a picture to show what I was talking about. 

The English Language

In the middle block Group,A  learnt about different kinds of Homonyms.Homonyms are words that are spelled  the same but has a different meaning like a Band as Musicians or a Band as like a head band you where on your head.I learnt about the English language and where it came from.

MRS GREN

For Inquiry I worked on google slides learning what the meaning of MRS GREN meant.I used the 7 words to make slides all about the topic I picked Nutrition to blog because it told me all about how to survive with food and without food.I looked up on websites finding out what Nutrition meant it meant surviving having enough energy to survive.

Storyboard that-Hinehoune

For inquiry I worked with Viva we made a story board about the first women who was created.We listened to the story and we drawed the  symbols to explain what was happening.After that we made a story board to explain about the gods creating the first women.
We used characters to explain the story and backgrounds to show where the setting is.
We also wrote the story in text boxes to explain the story,Then we made it into a storyboard.

Presenting tidy kiwi

Today in Assembly I presented the tidy kiwi award,to the tidiest classroom in the school. I used a loud voice to speak up my words.The tidy kiwi goes to LS1.

The unfinished drink

For poetry we learnt about the history of the unfinished drink.We also learnt about the history of La tour Mollet d' auvergna and why he said to the public to take care of his drink.

Me and Magenta worked together to complete our DLO so we added pictures in maps of the bar location and the memorial of La tour Mollet auvergna.

Memorial- Google slides

For reading Me and my partner Viva worked on a google slide to write about facts and information about the story of a little boys grandfather who came back from world war 1.This story told us many things including the tree's they would plant after the war had ended this tree would remind people of those who went to the war. 

Me and Viva talked to each other about what happend why it happend and what saught of person would go to Europe to fight for there country like an unknown soldier.

We worked on grabbing pictures from off the internet,Websites,Information and questions.

We also thought of Idea's to compare with our DLO.
