Kiwi Sport- Ki o Rahi

In Kiwi Sport today we played Ki o Rahi and traditional game with obstacles that we have to compete against. Today teams that played were ki o ma and Taniwha. In our obstacle course there were 7 pou poles, 10 pink cones representing the lake/ Te roto the green cones are the remote island and the obstacle in the middle of the cones is the key. In this game we have to try and get the other team out by labeling ourselves/ Ki o ma and Taniwha. One group has to surround the cons while the others run around the pou poles this game was a bit like golden child.

Thanks to Shanice

Sketchnote- Explanations

This week Nihdi and I worked collaboratively on an explanation task. We created a sketch note that reflects back on writing an Explanation. We wrote down what an explanation is by  how something works and Describes either a person or place. This helps to organised the information in place. We wrote down all of our ideas that we thought of. Using all of the Ideas
on our note we created a digital Sketch note to explain what explanation is.

Sketch note- Team Challenge

Today Alex, Sakina, Joel and I worked together to create a sketch note on what a team is, our definition of a team is a group of people who work together to achieve a common purpose. In teams all members must respect one another, make sure everyone is included and respect all opinions. Three things that people need to do in teams are: Communicate, collaborate and participate.

Care Values- Team challenge

Today Alex, Marieta, Viliami, Sakina and I worked together to create a DLO on our school's CARE Values. In it we needed to include how we could show the values and what they mean, an additional task was to brainstorm how we could use pictures to show what the values would look like. For the confidence value we chose to have someone standing up and pretending to present their work which would take confidence and for other values we had raising one's hand to answer a question, picking up rubbish around the school and completing a set task.
