Day 5: Activity 1,Science, Technology, Invention

5 rules when sharing personal online information

  1. When giving personal information about you or your family, Make sure that whoever you are talking or (Chatting to) You've atleast video chatted or know the person very well.
2. Chatting to a person that you haven't even met before or is trying to hide away their identity from you can cause a major problem and could affect the people around you, Including your family).

3. (Sharing your address or Pictures) Do you have a friend or family member who you know has been sharing images and addresses to someone they haven't even met before. The best thing to do is, (If your in that kind of situation then tell someone you know or atleast image search or make a plan to meet up, (If they live in your area or suburb).

4. (Copyrighting or Theft) You probably already know about this but lets just go through the simple steps to why copyrighting is illegal. Have you ever experienced online theft in your lifetime. If you haven't lets do a recap about how copyrights.NZ helps to protect online information. If this happens to you then go onto Net Safe to keep your account safe or block your account if you have instagram, Snapchat, Facebook or Twitter.

5. Last but not least (Scams) Someone is asking you to send money to them around 3 to $6,000 thats half of your life savings gone. It is not a good Idea to mail money to them if you don't know them that well. They might be trying to fake you by saying eg: ( I need $money for my family). If I were you I would disagree and block them on social media or online gaming). That way it would be safer.

This is a short explanation of Cybersmart and online information.
