This Week for Maths we are learning to understand the meaning of Transformation and how it is done. (Transformation- Is to Change or Rearrange something or someone). To show our learning we got creative and designed our DLO using the shape tool. I decided to make a plant using a circle, Cylinder and Round Diagonal corner rectangle. Our challenge was to create and show the 4 different types of transformation- Reflection, Rotation, Enlargement, Translation. For the Reflection part of the challenge I duplicated the design and turned it to make it face the opposite way. (Reflection- Mirror image). The Next part of the challenge was to duplicate the design again but ax 4th's. Then I rotated the design from 90 degrees, 180 degrees, 27.0 degrees, 0 degrees. (Rotation- To turn). The next step was to enlarge the design from smallest- Biggest. The Last step was to Translate the design, (Translate- Moving, Sliding).

Spring into maths,with Mrs Linda
In Today´s session of spring into maths, We completed several challenges that included the maths challenge wall. Our first challenge was to complete the first numbers of the day which was to roll the dice to find our number of the day. The numbers that we rolled were 654 and 653. After answering questions as a group, we then completed our own challenge sheet. We finished our lesson with making money and found various ways to make different amounts for example: $15 or 1.70.

Multiplication Thinking Game
I have created a Maths game which is based on Multiplicative thinking this game helps you to solve Multiplicative questions and help you understand the maths that is hidden in these questions. On each of these slides their is a correct and incorrect answer. If the question is incorrect their is a link for help that takes you to a video to help explain/show how the Multiplicative thinking strategy works. After you have watched the video their is a button next to the video that shows try again. The try again button will take you to the same slide that you are struggling on. In this game I have written 9 maths questions, that I then showed to some of the students in LS2. After I was completed with my game I asked a few friends to check my game. I also asked them to give me feedback on my game. The only mistake that I needed to change was to link all of the slides.

Blog Post Data Analysis
In Maths I created a blog post analysis showing the average and amount of blog post that I have posted. What I found interesting about my analysis was that in 2017 I posted 174 blog posts which was my highest amount in one year. I have written an explanation about my blogging analysis. My goal was to reach 800 blog posts by the end of this year so I have to post 4 blog posts each week to achieve this.

Basic facts boxes up to 20
In Maths I´ve being focusing on my basic facts up to 20. This was a good time to practise my basic facts in Maths time. The one thing that I need to work on is adding up big numbers and adding them with small numbers to get my answer. Next time in maths I will do my best to add 20 to bigger numbers.

Basic facts boxes to Hundred
Today in Maths I practiced my basic facts to hundred. During maths I got all answers correct this meant I was getting good at my basic facts. This went in 2 different ways one way I did addition and the other subtraction.
This was a good way to practise my basic facts so that I don't get confused when trying other strategies.

Maths week-Scale Drawings
Last week was maths week that week all of LS2 had a activity to do we created scale drawings of clipart characters.
The Enlargements were written in multiplication our scale drawing included an image that we picked out for ourselves. I chose a Pokemon because I thought that it would be interesting to draw. This was very difficult because I had to make sure that where I drawed was in the right boxes that it shows on my image. This was scale drawing 1-2 my boxes had to be in good measurement because if I didn ´t have the lines straight my lines would be crooked and I won´t be able to draw my scale drawing properly.
This was my first time drawing a scale drawing at first I wasn´t really sure but I practiced on the scale drawing test.
After I ruled lines I started drawing my clipart charterer when I was finished drawing I thought that all the hard effort that I put into drawing this clipart character was amazing.
I then started coloring in my scale drawing which I blended in the colors to make it a great texture.

M&M's presentation
Me,Sanujan,Nickela,Jonathan and Harlem created a presentation researching M&M's.
We created a bar graph and a diagram to show the results of which color was most popular.
To do this we were given instructions to come and get a packet of M&M's and a paper for our graph. We counted out all of the M&M's and ordered them into groups.
The highest rate was green. There were 16 Green, 11 Orange, 10 Brown, 7 Yellow, 6 Blue and 6 Red.
The next day we made the DLO we took a screenshot of our bar graph we made and a screen shot of our diagram.
The diagram shows how much in percentage the packet weighs with the amount of M&M's in it.
For our information about when was the blue M&M made we wrote down the key information because before the Blue M&M existed, they used to sell Tan coloured M&M's but they removed it and replaced it with the blue M&M.
Our next task was to find out the history about the M&M's Which stands for Marrie&Mars which was a company that made mars chocolates.
We also wrote our guesses of how much the packet will weigh everybody in our group chose there guess. We also put down 7 facts about the mars company and chocolate. We popped in a video to explain key information about M&M's. We also wrote a comparison and the video to show the M&M's ad on T.V.

Measuring angles with a Protractor
Today in Maths I created a DLO showing an example of how to use a protractor. My DLO was about how to use a protractor and learn the degrees, angles and measurement.
I rote a description to show how to measure a protractor or an angle to show what a protractor measures.
Measuring the angles and Protractors were different, I measured from the 0 to 90 or 0 to 230. Angles show the direction from backwards to forward to right and left.
I learnt the different sizes and measurement and angles thats show the Vertex the arms and the different degrees. I also used a picture to show what a protractor looks like and the measurement it measures up to.

Place Value
In Maths, We learnt place value and subtraction first of all we used our maths books then we looked on the class sight to find the questions once we wrote them down we answered the questions using Place Value.
I made up my own question for place value then I used my thinking skills to answer the questions.

Place Value
Place Value
This Place Value DLO shows a word solving and questions to solve.
I solved these questions by using 1's ,10's, 100's I solved out the numbers first before putting them into order.
I add all the equal numbers together and the answer is solved
Then I put in the Explanation.
Example
165+423=885
5 + 3 = 8
60 + 20=80
400+100 = 500

Blog post Record
LI: To carry out a statistical Inquiry
In Maths LS2 had to create a spreadsheet showing all the years they have been blogging/and also when they begun blogging.
We used a spreadsheet to record all the information on,We also had to look on our blogger to find out how much in total of every year we have been blogging in.
The amount had to be written then had to be inserted on a chart. We also had to make a google draw. Then we had to copy and paste our chart on then insert text boxes for us to write down the Statistics down.

Prototec
I have been on Prototec to practice my Addition,Subtraction,Multiplication and division.
I Figured out some of the Maths results but some were hard to answer.
But each score I got in total was 20/40 I had Timed the score 10min and 10s.
They were 1000 to 20 to 10.
It was a little hard on the 1000 column but the others were fine.
Division was hard for me because I had to divide my numbers into fractions.

Commenting on other Maths blog post
Hello Charlize,
Your work looks excellent,I have answered some of your questions but some of them were a bit difficult. The 2nd question was ,Max has 8 pies he buys 14 more how many pies altogether.
The answer would be 21 because
8+14= 21
8
The 3rd question was Jake drank 4 quarters of 12 water bottle how many water bottles were left.
The Answer would be 8 because
12-4=8.
Some of the other Questions were a bit harder so i only got 2 right.
Well done Charlize I think you done a good job because you change some of the hard maths too make it even more harder.
Keep up the work.
Last week Mr Ogilvie,Maths groups had to work with a partner to create a DLO.
Our DLO was going to be a quiz for people to answer questions on when we blog it.
But this week we had to comment on peoples maths questions. We had to answer them and figure out a way of how to solve them.
Some of these Questions were Easy and some were not.
My partner was Liane and we had to comment on someones Blog post.
We had chosen to work on Charlize's Maths quiz.
Her Questions were a bit hard but some were quite easy to solve.
Nearly me and my partner thought that some of them were right.
Some of these question were Subtraction,Multiplication,Addition and fractions.
Some of the results were a bit confusing but the quiz was excellent.
We also Had to make a Google document to explain our example of what we did for commenting on another person's blog post.

Word Problem
I have worked with a partner to create a DLO on Maths problems. We had to put in word problems,Me and my partner had to write the 4 main parts-Addition,Subtraction,Multiplication and Fractions.
Each Maths problem had to be difficult for others to answer.First we had to write down the word problems and pop in pictures,Then we had to blog it and wait for someone to answer those questions.
